Assistant Manager – FunBox Grapevine

Pay: $18 an hour

Job Type: Part-time. Temporary. Seasonal.

Shift and Schedule: Weekends and holidays, some work during week. 30-40 hours/week.

 

The World’s Largest Bounce House is looking for an Assistant Manager for the Fall 2024 campaign, with potential to continue in future seasonal campaigns.

 The Assistant Manager will work directly with the Park Manager and Ownership to build the park at Grapevine Mills Mall, train staff, and operate the park for up to 400 kids and parents per session.

 The park will be open weekly on Fri from 3pm-7pm and Sat/Sun from 10am-7pm with set up beforehand and clean up after. There will be a potential opening during the week on school holidays (i.e. Thanksgiving week).

 The Assistant Manager is responsible for opening and closing duties, leading Park Team Members, and setting the stage for guests to have the best experience possible. You are a leader across the team and thrive on building relationships with visitors and exceeding their expectations. 

 The Assistant Manager also assists in the park's set-up and breakdown construction and working with maintenance staff to prepare park after weather events.  Training will be on the job. Park set up will begin around September 13, 2024. Operations will be from October 4 through December 8, 2024. Park break down is scheduled December 8, 2024 through December 13, 2024. Once the park is set up and running you can expect approximately 30-40 hours/week - mostly on the weekends and some school holidays.

 

Required Skills:

·        Must Love Kids. Our park caters to kids between 4 and 12 years old, and their families.

·        Work outside all day.

·        Work every weekend during operations and some holidays.

·        Ability to manage a team.

·        Be punctual.

·        Great communication.

·        Customer service oriented.

·        Ability to lift objects 35lbs or more.

·        1-3 Years of Leadership/Managerial Experience

·        ***Amusement, hospitality and retails sales experience are highly desired.

·        ***Construction or engineering experience is a plus.

 

Job Duties:

·        Set-up and break down construction of 25,000 sq. ft inflatable park with a team.

·        Open and close the park.

·        Be a friendly, welcoming, and outgoing leader to team leads and members.

·        Direct team members to appropriate positions throughout the park.

·        Train and educate staff on various tasks and duties.

·        Oversee session changeovers.

·        Troubleshoot and correct any audio, P.O.S., and park technical difficulties.

·        Test inflatable pressures and making appropriate adjustments.

·        Drain, pump, and vacuum water from park as needed after rain events.

·        Help visitors check-in, sign waivers, and pay.

·        Work with Social Media Manager on marketing, social media presence.

·        Handle VIP/Social Media Influencer visits.

·        Oversee concessions (snow cones, water, and other products).

·        Manage inventory.

·        Receive deliveries and keep backstock organized.

·        Maintain a fun & safe environment inside the park, monitoring activity and enforcing rules and ensure safety.

·        Operate small equipment such as leaf blowers, shop vacs, power washers etc.

·        Prepare restrooms and fill hand washing stations before opening.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
