Role: Plant Accountant

Location: Wilmington, DE

We are seeking an Accountant on our North America accounting team, based in the Wilmington office, reporting directly to our US Accounting Supervisor.

This will be a hands on plant accountant who will be part of a team of 4, who is able to adapt to a dynamic and fast paced changing environment. Someone who is dedicated, competent and detail oriented with the ability to go beyond what is expected and achieve company goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely accruals and other accounting adjustments for the United States operating plant in Waynesboro, Virginia.
  • Processing plant close transactions in SAP by required deadline (end of working day 1 each month).
  • Managing all aspects of accounting and reporting for the plant.
  • Conducting cost and variance analysis of materials.
  • Conducting variance analysis and reconciliation of inventory and plant operating costs.
  • Collaborate with corporate finance teams to provide accurate and timely financial data and support ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting audits and providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance-related discipline
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Manufacturing or plant accounting experience
  • Advanced degrees such as Master’s in Accounting/Finance or CPA/CMA
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and complex formula’s
  • SAP and Oracle HFM experience.
  • PowerBI, SAP BI, MSBI, HANA Views
