Community Forklift is a nonprofit that diverts construction materials, appliances, fixtures, tools, and furniture from local landfills and makes these items available for sale at below market prices - conserving resources, creating jobs, making home repairs affordable, and supporting underserved communities in the process. We serve over 70,000 customers each year, including do-it-yourselfers, contractors, repair people, and artists. Community Forklift also conducts workshops and trainings, holds community events, and has a growing volunteer program.
The Development Coordinator works with the Development Manager to advance the fundraising efforts of a growing reuse nonprofit by implementing strategies to maximize financial support and donor retention. The Development Coordinator will support all fundraising activities related to donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, events, grant writing, and other development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist with researching, preparing, and submitting grant applications, as well as monitoring the grant application calendar.
-Support grant reporting, evaluation, and program tracking for all government and non-government funding, and monitoring the grant reporting calendar.
-Process all gifts and receipt acknowledgement including, but not limited to credit cards, checks, cash, and online donations.
-Manage the recording and maintenance of all donor information in the CRM.
-Provide support for all fundraising activities, including in-person events and fundraising campaigns.
-Gather, store, and analyze all fundraising data in the CRM and report on the impacts, achievements, and pipeline.
-Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive institutional and major donor giving strategy to engage donors in supporting Community Forklift initiatives.
-Assist with content creation and writing for marketing and fundraising activities.
Qualifications
-2 years experience in a Development Coordinator role or similar work environment
-HS Diploma/GED required
-College degree preferred

-$21.65-$23 per hour
-40 hours a week
