Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryThe Master Production Planning Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the planning and scheduling of production processes to ensure efficient and on-time delivery of products. This role will involve analyzing production data, forecasting customer demand, and collaborating with various departments to optimize production efficiency.Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop production plans and schedules, taking into consideration factors such as customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including sales, supply chain, and manufacturing to align production plans with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor and update production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products and communicate any potential delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer forecasts to accurately forecast future demand.
  • Determine optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Sale, Operations, Logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.
  • Monitor production processes and identify areas for improvement in terms of productivity, cost reduction, and quality assurance.
  • Utilize production planning software and tools to optimize production schedules and minimize downtime.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production workflows and increase overall operational efficiency.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Sales, Operations, Product Design, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment of production plans.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and vendors to resolve any issues related to material availability or quality concerns.
  • Provide regular production updates to management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production plans, schedules, and other relevant documentation.
  • Prepare timely reports and analyses of production metrics, such as capacity utilization, production efficiency, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Identify trends and insights from production data to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement efforts.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using production planning software and tools.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • possess strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Must be detail-oriented and well organized.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field.
Work Experience
  • 5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Capable of listening intently.
  • Visual acuity to process paperwork and analyze data.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
