About the Role:
Gen3 seeks a stellar ICAM Solutions Architect to play a key role in supporting the Veterans Affairs (VA) agency. This position will be critical for driving enterprise-wide transformational change and managing Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) services. The ICAM Solutions Architect will provide in-depth knowledge and expertise in the FICAM industry within the federal government, ensuring adherence to cybersecurity and logical access control standards.
Location: Remote, US
What You'll Do:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the FICAM Roadmap within IT systems to support the VA's strategic goals.
  • Provide technical guidance on cybersecurity concepts and best practices, ensuring compliance with OMB M-11-11, USAccess, Federal PKI, Shared Services, Attribute Exchange, HSPD-12, and the Federation framework.
  • Simplify and communicate complex concepts such as FICAM, PACS, PKI, certificate authority, and Logical Access Control Systems (LACS) to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems engineering processes, such as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and System Life-Cycle Security Engineering.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of ICAM solutions, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between stakeholders, including federal agencies and commercial partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
What You'll Need:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a technical field.
  • 15+ years of functional and technical experience in the FICAM industry within the federal government.
  • At least two certifications in related fields, such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, Security+, or GIAC.
  • Extensive knowledge of FICAM Roadmap implementation and experience with cybersecurity concepts and guidance.
  • Ability to communicate and simplify complex items to senior leadership.
  • Working experience with OMB M-11-11, USAccess, Federal PKI, Shared Services, Attribute Exchange, HSPD-12, and the Federation framework.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and application of System Life-Cycle Security Engineering.
What's Desired to Have:
  • Previous experience supporting federal or state agencies, especially Veterans Affairs, is highly desired.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and executing large-scale ICAM solutions is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the unique business processes and technical complexities involved in supporting OICAM services specifically HSPD-12/PIV for the VA.
