About the Role:
Gen3 is looking for a talented Identity and Access Management Solutions Architect to support the Veterans Affairs (VA) agency. This role is pivotal in driving transformational changes across the enterprise and managing Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) services. The Solutions Architect will offer profound knowledge and expertise in the FICAM sector within the federal landscape, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and logical access control standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the formulation and execution of the FICAM Roadmap within IT systems to align with the VA's strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert technical advice on cybersecurity principles and best practices, ensuring adherence to OMB M-11-11, USAccess, Federal PKI, Shared Services, Attribute Exchange, HSPD-12, and the Federation framework.
  • Clarify and convey intricate concepts such as FICAM, PACS, PKI, certificate authority, and Logical Access Control Systems (LACS) to senior management.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate systems engineering methodologies, including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and System Life-Cycle Security Engineering.
  • Assess and monitor the effectiveness of ICAM solutions, implementing necessary corrective measures.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among stakeholders, including federal agencies and commercial partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of functional and technical experience in the FICAM domain within the federal sector.
  • At least two certifications in relevant fields, such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, Security+, or GIAC.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FICAM Roadmap implementation and experience with cybersecurity principles and guidelines.
  • Proven ability to communicate and simplify complex topics for senior management.
  • Experience with OMB M-11-11, USAccess, Federal PKI, Shared Services, Attribute Exchange, HSPD-12, and the Federation framework.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering processes and the application of System Life-Cycle Security Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supporting federal or state agencies, particularly Veterans Affairs, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale ICAM solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of the unique business processes and technical challenges associated with OICAM services, specifically HSPD-12/PIV for the VA.
