Quality Assurance Coordinator


Purpose: The Quality Assurance Coordinator is the primary resource for establishing procedures for ensuring that a consistently high level of quality is maintained in all programs throughout the agency by funding source and accreditation regulations, agency policies, and customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities:


• Participates in internal and external audits, following up on non-conformities and corrective action requests.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service-related field, five years' experience in human services related to people with disabilities, or a combination of education and relevant work experience equaling five years.

• Previous supervisory and training experience preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively, make presentations, and write concise reports for all levels of employees.

• Knowledge of CARF standards.

• Knowledge of Team Building and Total Quality Management philosophies preferred.

• Ability to travel between offices.

Requirements:

Quality Assurance:


• Ensure flow of information, including changes in service procedures and funding source and accreditation regulations.

• Serve as an agency-wide resource for problem identification and resolution and grievances.

• Interact with internal and external customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and provide feedback to the leadership team.

• Conduct quality assurance audits of programs agency-wide to ensure programs are consistent with policies, procedures, and regulations and agency standards are maintained.

• Assist with policy and procedure revisions as necessary.

• Participate in external audits and preparation.

• Consult with the management team to resolve quality problems.

• Champion efforts to address non-conformities from internal and external audits.

• Assist in the creation of quality performance metrics, reporting, and improvement targets.

• Coordinate and support the HRC committee.

• Approve or deny and monitor all consumer transitions by state and other regulations.

• Complete Exit Summaries for all outgoing consumers and staff. Training:

• Work with the leadership team to develop specific training to meet the needs identified by auditing.

• Confer with leadership and staff to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.

• Maintain awareness of and coordinate utilization of training resources available through state and state-contracted entities.

• Coordinate annual refresher training for all employees.

• Assist with new hire orientation programs.

• Test trainees to evaluate the effectiveness of training and to measure progress.


Safety:


• Serve as co-chair of the agency safety committee.

• Ensure agency policies and practices comply with OSHA and accreditation regulations.

• Maintain incident reports, including trend analysis. Sycamore Services Team:

• Maintain confidentiality of consumer and personnel information and records.

• Other duties as assigned.
