Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Location: St. Charles, MO


Position Summary:

The HR Coordinator will manage day-to-day Human Resources office duties, ensuring an efficient and productive work environment. This position requires strong communication skills, Human Resources proficiency, multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and the initiative to thrive in an occasionally ambiguous environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as point of contact on HR related matters including onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, training/development, and employee engagement.
  • Process newly hired employees into the HRIS System. (INOVA formerly Integrated Payroll System (IPS))
  • Conduct thorough new hire orientation, collect required documentation, and assist with electronic onboarding of paperwork.
  • Initiate approval workflow and make final updates for newly hired employees, employee statuses changes, and other personnel data changes within INOVA.
  • Train and help employees with INOVA and Quantum systems. (i.e., train employees how to clock in/out.)
  • ISO Requirements: Assist in the documentation of departmental processes, standardized forms, and company Skill Matrix.
  • Coordinate pre-employment physical/drug screens and appropriate background checks for all pre-hires.
  • Compile data from personnel records and prepare various reports.
  • Assist with annual benefit/payroll related audits.
  • Maintain training records including Missouri Customized Training, external seminars, and internal training.
  • Assist with onsite Safety, Compliance and other company sponsored training programs. Maintain training records, as applicable.
  • Maintain a list of employees with CDL, Class E, and Chauffer licenses. Ensure appropriate annual certification and physical requirements are met.
  • Calculate and process deductions and 401(k) contributions.
  • Ensure accuracy of all benefit enrollments in HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  • Manage corporate programs for Tool, Safety Shoe, and Safety Glasses programs
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resources or administrative experience.
  • Must be approachable with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Product Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams).
  • Highly skilled in prioritizing tasks, paying attention to detail, and delegating responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential information with high degree of discretion and sensitivity.
  • Knowledgeable of or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS system INOVA.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot issues while recognizing when to escalate problems and work effectively with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, and walking in office, warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and position self to move about the office, as needed.
  • Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.
  • Vision abilities required by this position includes close and/or color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
