Tuffaloy Products is a leading manufacturer of resistance welding consumables. The resistance welding process is a cost-effective metal joining process used in automotive, industrial, and aerospace manufacturing. Tuffaloy is a privately held business that has been in operation for 85 years. Our Products are produced at our 50,000 sq/ft climate-controlled facility utilizing state-of-the-art CNC Lathes, mills, presses and cold formers. Tuffaloy has a family-oriented culture and flat organizational structure. Tuffaloy is committed to continually challenging itself to maintain its market position and grow. We are looking for a self-driven, team player to join Tuffaloy's manufacturing team.

The Primary responsibilities of this position will be to set up and operate the cold heading equipment along with periodically checking key part features to ensure process conformance. Additional responsibilities include die inspection, cleaning/polishing and preventative maintenance. Applicants for this position should have a solid work ethic, possess a can-do attitude and strive for continuous improvement.

Successful candidates should be able to setup and operate various cold forming machines, remove and install punches/Dies, inspect, polish and clean Dies, and identify worn or broken tools. The successful candidate will be able to produce conforming parts for first article inspection. They will be required to document part dimensions for ISO. Candidate will ensure parts meet specifications utilizing micrometers, calipers, plug gauges and other measurement instruments. The successful should also be able to review manufacturing orders and prints for accuracy.

In addition to the above you will perform routine machine maintenance prior to each shift to ensure the machine is ready for safe operation and report any machine issues to maintenance for repair.

Requirements:

This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical concepts, good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, computer skills, the ability for work independently and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

A minimum of five years of experience with cold heading equipment is desired.
