Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team supporting Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the development, configuration, and support of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) to secure classified data and networks for government clients. This role requires a deep understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, including the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to ensure optimal network and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • CSfC Solution Management: Operate and maintain CSfC compliant solutions that align with NSA, DoD, and customer specifications.
  • System Development: Develop and modify system scripts to enhance system performance.
  • Documentation: Author comprehensive system documentation, including configuration guides, test procedures, and training materials.
  • Training: Provide onsite training to technical and non-technical users on system use, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Cross-Domain Solutions: Support and manage cross-domain solutions in alignment with client requirements.
  • Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with operations departments to design and implement approved infrastructure.
  • Network Engineering: Author Network Engineering Design Packages, including detailed project plans and implementation procedures.
  • Hardware/Software Configuration: Configure network, software, and hardware components to meet NSA CSfC, NIAP, and DoD standards.
  • Systems Integration: Perform complex network design and systems integration for secure communication networks.
  • VMWare/VDI Management: Manage and harden VMWare and VDI infrastructures.
  • PKI Management: Configure and manage PKI Certificate Authorities for CSfC solutions.
  • Firewall and Security Management: Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPN gateways, and wireless controllers.
  • Technical Support: Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for systems and serve as an escalation point during significant outages.
  • Research & Analysis: Identify and recommend hardware and support solutions based on thorough research and customer interaction.
  • Project Execution: Lead and contribute to special projects as assigned, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance with a completed T5 investigation or higher.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years in Systems Engineering (Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) =12 years of experience, or Master’s degree (MA/MS) = 10 years of experience.)
  • Certifications: Must hold one of the following certifications: CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
  • Professional Certification: MCSA, Linux, or equivalent systems certification is required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Location: Office environment at Schofield Barracks / Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
  • Accessibility: Access requires ascending/descending three flights of stairs with no elevator or ramp.
  • Noise Level: Low.
  • Schedule: Standard day shift Monday – Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Travel: Less than 20%.
  • Physical Demands: Regular use of hands, standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
