Central Coast Hospice is a locally owned and operated organization with an excellent reputation throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. We are seeking a full-time employee to join our team in our San Luis Obispo office as Coordinator for Hospice Volunteers. Responsibilities include recruitment, training, selection and set up of volunteers, matching volunteers with patients, creation and maintenance of volunteer files and credentialing, QA for volunteer visit notes, tracking volunteer hours completed, and acting as liaison between volunteers, patients, and staff.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization, customer service and multi-tasking abilities, knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word & Excel), previous medical office experience strongly preferred. Also requires the ability to work well independently and in a team environment, taking direction well but also taking initiative to get things done in a timely manner.
