We currently have an entry-level opportunity to join our accounting team as a Payment Services Representative.

 

The ideal candidate:

 

  • Ability to multi-task, effectively handling multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities with a positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and member service skills
  • Ability to listen, perceive, and interpret what others are communicating, both verbally and non-verbally
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as critical thinking ability
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail


The main duties:

  • Process daily ACH, bill pay, external transfers, share drafts, and payroll files
  • Collaborate with Contact Center staff on plastic card disputes
  • Assist members in resolving issues related to their accounts
  • Serve as a backup role to the Accountant and VP of Accounting & Payment Services as needed
  • Contribute to a teamwork environment across the Credit Union to ensure the needs of our members and each other are met
  • Embrace PSCU’s culture, service standards, mission statement, and values

 

 The ‘must-have’ list:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months of similar or related experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, exercise initiative, and meet deadlines
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all member information

 

The wish list:

  • Previous electronic payment processing experience preferred.
  • Interest in growth in the accounting sector.

 

 The details:

 

  • Credit Union Hours – M-F 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
  • Status: Full Time (40 hours per week), Non-Exempt
  • Salary: Starting at $17.50 - $20 per hour, depending on experience
  • Location: 2800 E 14th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64127
  • This is not a remote position.
