CET is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Project Manager II to lead a portfolio of residential energy efficiency projects and programs. As a Project Manager II, you will ensure that short- and long-term goals are achieved and budgets are met. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to ensure CET’s competitive advantage, deliver unique value to our clients and customers, and drive production efficiencies. We partner with city and state agencies, utilities, homeowners, and business owners across the U.S. to build a just and equitable transition to the low-carbon economy. With the passage of state and federal climate policy, utility programs are rapidly evolving to align with carbon reduction goals. Benefits

This is a full-time, non-exempt, remote position. In this position, you will:

  • Own the process for ensuring the project is successfully setup in CET’s financial and project management systems.
  • Participate in and supervise the successful execution of each stage of the project.
  • Formulate a plan to meet the project’s objectives while adhering to an approved budget and timeline as a guide for the project team to follow, including but not limited to project scope, resources, schedule, communication strategy and deliverables management.
  • Maintain open communication with the project team members, stakeholders, and appropriate parts of the organization.
  • Summarize and communicate project progress and prepares status reports as needed.
  • Identify and manage risks with contingency planning and mitigation strategies, communicating effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure the project stays on track. 
  • Continuously troubleshoot and evolve methods to improve quality and increase operational efficiencies, analyzing data and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage costs, propose and implement changes to enhance revenue and profitability.
  • Serve as the client representative and communicate client expectations, keeping the client informed and engaged as appropriate.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports, as needed.
  • Work with clients to identify and develop new project opportunities and supports business development team with preparation of project proposals and budgets. 
  • Contribute to development of departmental budget and operational strategies.
  • Communicate personnel and other resource needs to appropriate parts of the organization for successful program delivery.
  • Monitor progress against contract deliverables, program goals, KPIs and budgets. Develop client reports.
  • Adjust tactics to respond to changes in program requirements, personnel or methods.
  • Monitor marketplace dynamics, including competitive and complementary programming, evolving policy landscapes, and changing customer and client needs.
  • Represent CET at planning and program meetings with customers, clients, and other partners.


You will bring to this position:

  • A minimum of 3 years proven project management success, preferably working within a matrix structure; or professional project management training with less on-the-job experience.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency and/or utility programs is helpful, with a strong interest in CET's mission.
  • Bachelors of science or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to set clear goals and create a team environment.
  • Must be able to problem-solve and respond proactively to programmatic and personnel changes with the ability to iterate and adapt quickly.
  • A self-directed, flexible, creative, detail-oriented, and organized work style.
  • An ability to lead by example to inspire others.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A talent for problem-solving with an ability to pivot and respond effectively to change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style.
  • Ability to be proactive, resourceful, organized, adaptive, flexible and open to change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and with the ability to facilitate meetings and deliver presentations.  
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office and CRM software required, Salesforce experience preferred.  


Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements: 
Must have remote office set-up with reliable high-speed internet free from distractions and interruptions. This is a remote position with occasional travel to Massachusetts. Daily requirements may include but are not limited to the following: Environment: Home office environment. Physical Demands: Walking, sitting, standing, keying, repetitive movements. Equipment Used: Including but not limited to the following: Computer, cell phone, and office equipment.
