JOB TITLE: Performance Improvement Specialist

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (40 hours)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Senior Clinical Analyst

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with subject matter experts to design, develop, and maintain an up-to-date online training repository for different areas of healthcare operations using Microsoft tools such as SharePoint. Ensure training materials for new and existing clinical support staff are well-organized and easily accessible.
  • Maintain a current understanding of healthcare systems, policies & procedures required for the clinical areas
  • Maintain and update the database of all incoming providers and residents at ICO to facilitate their Training and onboarding process and ensure accurate and efficient data handling.
  • Ensure all providers comply with training requirements from healthcare insurance companies and coordinate with payers to send the training completion reports on behalf of ICO providers
  • Conduct clinic operation training sessions for new and existing clinical support staff, ensuring a comprehensive introduction to clinical operation standards and clinical systems, including but not limited to NextGen, Compulink, Forum, and the online training material repository.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining data integrity and access to various clinical systems and revenue cycle websites, ensuring employees have the appropriate access privileges required for their roles.
  • Conduct online Surveys and gather feedback using Microsoft tools to enhance staff training and the development and delivery of training content.
  • Observe and analyze the current appointment scheduling process followed by the practice staff and identify any gaps and inconsistencies to address during staff training.
  • Record and reconcile payments received from third parties into the clinical practice management system by utilizing electronic payment files obtained from the clearinghouse. Ensure each transaction is accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Develop instruction manuals and record instructional videos on electronic payment posting and reconciliation. Provide support to project teams in the testing and process validation when assistance is required
  • Assess and analyze clinical application systems, review system capabilities, and coordinate with external vendors to implement and enhance the applications to meet clinical and academic training requirements.
  • Set up Ophthalmic equipment and systems for clinics and teaching labs to facilitate optometric teaching and training.
  • Manage the evaluation, diagnosis, and planned upgrade of ophthalmic equipment and systems for clinics and teaching labs.
  • Perform administrative tasks for ophthalmic equipment and systems, including monitoring the maintenance schedule and contract, the cost of repair, and supplies.
  • Develop an online directory of digital biomedical devices to track installation, training, access levels, user credentials, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Manage feedback from students, faculty, and clinic staff regarding ophthalmic equipment and systems. Ensure devices are fully functional for student and patient care education.
  • Identify and coordinate training sessions for new ophthalmic equipment and systems for students, faculty, and clinical staff.
  • Conduct and Coordinate training sessions covering device features, functions, and operational procedures
