About you:

You love both the blank canvas and working with a clients existing brand. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects using your organizational skills to keep you on track. You’re comfortable pitching rough sketches and collaborating with your team to solve creative challenges. You will employ your exceptional skills in design composition, user-interface, and typography to create and refine impactful, amazing designs. You enjoy the challenge and are proud of every project you produce


What you’ll do:

  • Concept, plan, and execute design for individual stories and full magazines.
  • Assist the Art Director with managing process, budget, and production of all assigned work.
  • Collaborate with photographers, illustrators, and videographers to develop and execute dynamic and engaging content.
  • Work with food stylists to develop recipes that taste great and photograph beautifully.
  • Create exceptional typography based design for headlines and mastheads.
  • Ability to communicate vision and concepts to both internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate with freelancers.
  • Capable of mentoring junior design staff and providing direction when needed
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of design OR 3-years experience
  • Resilient to fast-paced environments where tight deadlines are the norm
  • Proven success with time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
