Position Overview:

As the Employee Training Coordinator & HR Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the training and development programs for our employees while also providing essential support to the Human Resources department. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate training initiatives that align with organizational goals and enhance employee skills and performance. Additionally, you will assist in various HR tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Coordinator

  • Training Coordinator is a new position for Elm Grove. Role would have a high level of ownership in developing, implementing, and managing a high quality and comprehensive training program.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs, including orientation sessions, skills training, leadership development, and compliance training.

  • Coordinate training logistics, such as scheduling sessions, booking venues, arranging materials, and managing attendance records.

  • Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop relevant content and materials.

  • Utilize a variety of training methods and techniques, including e-learning platforms, workshops, and on-the-job training, to engage and educate employees effectively.

  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback mechanisms, assessments, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for improvement.

  • HR Assistant

  • Assist HR Director with HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Assist HR Director, to provide timely and professional assistance to employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.

  • Support HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion programs, and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or education in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in training coordination, instructional design, or talent development, preferably in a corporate setting.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, training methodologies, and instructional design concepts.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate diverse audiences.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS).

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

  • Proactive in identifying new and better ways to complete tasks in alignment with business strategy

  • Adaptable team player with a passion for learning and professional growth.
