Position Summary:
SIG SAUER is seeking a high energy, highly organized Trade Show & Events Specialist to handle all aspects of trade show and event management to contribute to the overall marketing goals. The person in this role will manage the planning and execution for regional, domestic, and international trade shows and hosted events including the budget, design, layout, promotional items, marketing materials, vendor management and onsite execution. This position reports to the Director of Trade Shows & Global Events in the Marketing department.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Manage and execute pre, onsite and post-show or event logistics for trade shows and events.
*Organize and direct the preparation for pre-planning meetings, staffing, show services, accommodations, on-site services, shipping, technical services, and evening activities.
*Oversee and monitor booth and event set-up, freight transport and other on-site logistics.
*Manage event budgets, including POs, invoices and monitoring overall event costs within allocated budget.
*Conduct post-show wrap up, surveys and reporting; measure ROI and monitor against goals and objectives.
*Negotiate agreements with outside special events service providers and subcontractors to ensure services provided meet expectations and budget requirements.
*Maintain event schedules, project checklists and processes via event management templates and best practice processes.
Education and/or Experience:
*2-3 years’ experience in managing and executing trade shows and events.
*BS/BA Degree in Marketing, communications, or related field is preferred.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong focus on execution and results.
*Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong organizational and planning skills.
*Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, budgeting, and time management skills.
*Adept at handling multiple complex projects simultaneously under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
*Knowledge of marketing communications.
*Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (including strong knowledge of excel).
*Willing to travel up to 30% to organize events as needed, may include travel on some evenings and weekends.
