Position Summary

The Maintenance Scheduler, proficient in Primavera P6, plays a key role in optimizing maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency and asset reliability.

Essential Job Functions

  • Utilizes Primavera P6 to develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules.
  • Enters and maintains the detailed job plan data, (job steps, logic, resources, etc.) into Primavera to develop the TAR Master Schedule.
  • Performs schedule analysis to ensure that the process and procedures detailed in the TAR Work Scheduling Process have been applied
  • Issues the required schedule and resource reports from Primavera
  • Prepares and distributes the look-ahead reports for the daily scheduling meetings
  • Reviews validates, and enters all field-provided schedule status updates
  • Performs required data queries and generates the required reports to calculate process and performance Key Performance Indicators
  • Executes scheduled what-if scenarios, performing an analysis and reporting on the results
  • Works with the TAR Planner to develop the TAR schedule and logic path
  • Utilizes the existing Company WBS structure and interface with the Integrated Field Schedule
  • Develops, maintains & periodically issues associated progress curves, completing estimates, earned value, etc.
  • Adheres to Engineering and Projects (E&P) Segment financial, business and project processes
  • Mentors & coaches others on schedule controls to aid project delivery
  • Performs Turnaround and Maintenance Scheduling
  • Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of EHSS principles and values; champions safety at all times; participates in and/or leads safety teams or projects as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties assigned by management that generally fall within the expected scope of this position.

Experience & KSA’s Required

  • 10+ years of hands-on field experience in field execution in a refinery or chemical plant

  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency with SAP
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to use database systems and other programs and applications used by this position and at Company
  • Fluent in English language including reading, writing, and speaking; ability to read and write at a minimum of high school level; ability to communicate to all levels in the organization

Education Requirement

§ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

§ Certification or specialized training in project scheduling, particularly in the use of Primavera P6, is highly desirable.

This position requires an employee to be in an office environment, outside, and exposed to various chemicals and compounds, including fumes and smells, some of them hazardous. During construction, the employee will be required to work in a construction zone with various hazards normally experienced in these environments. The employee may enter confined spaces and work in elevated environments. Employee may experience range of temperatures from -10 degrees F to 100+ degrees F when outside. Employee must be able to wear PPE required by the location. General office noise may be experienced and louder sounds and vibrations when outside. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All environments are safe with appropriate PPE.
