Maintenance Planning Coordinator, Lake Charles Refinery

The Maintenance Operations Scheduler at the Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex is responsible for utilizing the digital maintenance management system (SAP) to organize labor schedules and verify the receipt of materials and resources, aligning with the creation of both daily and three-week work plans. This position also entails planning and facilitating minor projects, routine tasks, and maintenance shutdown and turnaround operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate daily and weekly work schedules
- Assess and modify plans/tasks based on input from craft workers and supervisors
- Oversee updates to the CMMS database, including BOM and PM
- Contribute to turnaround planning and maintain a list of jobs ready for execution when opportunities arise.
- Synchronize daily work schedules with operational and maintenance teams
- Manage and report on maintenance backlogs to ensure adherence to MI, PM, and effective work practices.
- Administer work center capacity load charts
- Maintain schedule compliance and productivity metrics for reporting purposes to meet targets
- Plan priority tasks for turnaround and support the organization during peak work periods
- Coordinate and oversee external contractor activities related to maintenance and small projects, including reviewing and approving timesheets and invoices
- Estimate and procure labor, materials, and resources for maintenance and small projects following the Maintenance Planning process
- Create a library of planned tasks in SAP DMS and a planning package library for repetitive maintenance tasks
- Generate precise and comprehensive planning packages for all scheduled jobs to optimize craft productivity
- Assist Area Clerk with work order/notification closure and documentation requirements
- Monitor and manage Routine Work Process KPI metrics in accordance with guidelines
- Support and provide guidance for the handling and disposal of hazardous waste per Phillips 66 Environmental Regulations.
- Assist in managing the Maintenance Department budget
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Possess a valid driver's license
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Willingness and ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
- 3 or more years of experience in craft Scheduling (related to manpower, craft capacity, logistics, and environmental)
- 3 or more years of experience in craft Planning (related to safety, craft knowledge, materials, logistics, and environment)
- Training or experience with scheduling systems in SAP
- Experience in planning using SAP
- Familiarity with project management software such as Timeline and Primavera
- Proven knowledge of safe working practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain effective communication with process engineering, operations, maintenance, and other work groups
- Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision
- Demonstrates accountability and commitment to deliver on promises
- Establishes priorities and identifies critical tasks
- Balances immediate and long-term priorities
