We are looking for a Technical Trainer to join our team. The Training team's primary objective is to interact with our customers to deliver educational content that will help them use and be successful with our product. Previous experience with training content and presentation skills are required. Additionally, expertise with delivering technical training or coaching in the field of software is recommended. Up to 10% travel possible and working hours will occur during US Eastern Time Zone hours of 9am-5pm.

Key Objectives

Objective #1: Constantly learn the platform while independently gathering information to deliver material

  • Revise and evolve training material as Decisions software changes
  • Keep up to date on issues and bugs within the platform to better assist trainees
  • Learn and understand basics of hosting architecture including containers and vms to assist with spinning up async hosted environments.

Objective #2: Plan, develop, and organize training events

  • Assist internal training education efforts, including new hire training and continuing education
  • Ability to present technical information both in writing and verbally and in group settings

Objective #3: Work within a team to continue the development of course materials and content

  • Develop and evolve training material as the product and customers continue to grow
  • Manage customer certifications and grading
  • Work closely with the training and technical documentation team to identify, plan, and implement innovative training courses which provide an engaging learning experience for internal and external users
  • Manage content delivery on Decisions Learning Management System (LMS)

Objective #4: Collaborate inter and cross department to develop, discuss, and document platform improvements

  • Work closely with other departments to continue to identify areas that will allow our customers to be more successful
  • Document, reproduce and escalate bugs hit on the platform to software engineering
  • Keep training environments upgraded to the most recent version of the platform to help find bugs and take advantage of bugs fixed to ensure the best user experience

Objective #5: Utilize database management skills

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of database systems
  • Provide technical support for database related issues
  • Familiarity with SQL database querying

Specialized Experience

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate both internally and client-facing
  • Must have Microsoft SQL database experience
  • Must be able to set goals, prioritize multiple objectives with various deadlines, and independently manage projects
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable
  • Practical technology aptitude to understand software, process automation, and general operation of programing being documented
  • Video Editing and Photo Editing is a plus
