This role necessitates a candidate with hands-on experience utilizing MDS, whether on a Tomahawk Firing Unit (FRU) or within a Theater Strike Mission Planning Center (TSMPC). The ideal individual will possess the capability to disseminate knowledge regarding various components of MDS and its tactical applications.


The selected candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside fellow curriculum specialists and educators while coordinating with system administrators and operational trainers.


JOB SUMMARY

This position is tasked with the development, enhancement, and instruction of the TMPC Mission Distribution System (MDS) curriculum, as well as the revision of MDS-specific Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) materials.

Responsibilities will include ensuring that instructional manuals are up-to-date with the latest technical capabilities and operational performance standards.

Additional responsibilities may encompass support for other products, system testing, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for software installations.


The successful candidate will be part of a certification and training team but will also be expected to operate independently as necessary and adhere to established schedules.

Collaboration with Fleet and other contractor personnel will be essential to gather feedback and assess the status of the curriculum and job qualification requirements.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Developing and revising curriculum for new MDS software versions
• Instructing the MDS curriculum
• Updating MDS-specific Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) materials for TMPC
• Conducting MDS-related SATs in the lab following equipment installation and assisting Fleet TMPC SATs as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's Degree in any field with 3 – 5 years of relevant practical experience or as a former/retired USN Fire Controlman (FC) with NEC V41A
• Operational experience with MDS at either a FRU or TSMPC
• Proficiency in drafting standard operating procedures or similar directives
• Active TS/SCI clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with the Cruise Missile Mission Planning Training and Operating Procedures (CTOPS) Manual
• Master Training Specialist

Pay Range:
Pay Range $61, $111,625.00
