Lead Tactical Trainer for Expeditionary Operations

Sigma Defense is looking for a skilled Tactical Trainer to take on the role of Lead Tactical Trainer for Expeditionary Operations at the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group.

The selected candidate will be responsible for directing tactical training exercises and collaborating with various commands within the simulation center.

The ideal applicant will possess a TS/SCI security clearance and have a solid background in crafting training scenarios, tactical and operational planning, as well as executing synthetic and live training exercises.

Furthermore, candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience working on a Strike Group or Numbered Fleet Commander staff, or an equivalent Department of Defense staff role related to tactical training.

This position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract, meaning that the final confirmation of employment will depend on the contract's approval.

The individual selected for this position will be offered employment contingent upon the contract being awarded to Sigma Defense.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on a Strike Group or Numbered Fleet Commander staff or equivalent DoD staff related to tactical training.
  • At least 6 years of experience in the following areas:
    • Serving as a technical lead and subject matter expert for task requirements (e.g., Academics, Warfare Areas, Synthetic, Live, or Joint Training).
    • Creating training scenarios, tactical and operational planning, executing synthetic/live training exercises, and conducting after-action reviews.
    • Understanding Navy and Defense training operations, policies, doctrines, systems, and staff procedures.
    • Adapting to a dynamic, team-oriented environment and managing team performance effectively.
    • Handling multiple priorities and interruptions while maintaining productivity.
    • Conducting fleet training analysis to identify gaps and training needs.
    • Leading teams or projects.
    • Exhibiting strong public speaking and presentation skills.

Personnel Clearance Level:
Candidates must possess an active, DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance or higher, with a TS/SCI clearance level required for this role.

A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.

Two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

Support Tasks:
(a)

The contractor will perform duties as the tactical training exercise director, which includes:
(i) Ensuring personnel, equipment, and processes are managed according to exercise design documents and specifications.

(b) Collaborating with other commands within the simulation center to ensure interoperability and supportability between systems.

(c) Providing expertise and guidance on synthetic training programs to the command.

(d) Supporting locally sponsored exercises as the tactical training exercise director.

(e) Utilizing various modeling and simulation systems in the training environment.

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $115,000 annually.
