Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDoes the thought of influencing employee relations, HR strategies and shaping the future success of an organization’s workforce excite you?On behalf of our client a leading agri-food employer specializing in the production of greenhouse vegetables, we are searching for their next Human Resources Business Partner.In this role as a Human Resources Business Partner you will:
  • Be the primary point of contact for all HR matters including staffing, employee relations, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, employment law, compensation, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory employment regulations and laws.
  • Maintain consistent compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Develop and executes talent acquisition, recruitment processes, and retention strategies.
  • Manage new hire on-boarding, benefits enrollment, and personnel file maintenance.
  • Administer retirement savings plans.
  • Manage progressive disciplinary system and conducts terminations as needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive employee relations investigations and provides recommendations.
  • Coach and assess training needs for the management team.
  • Actively participates in Safety Committee and leads Health and Safety initiatives.
  • Monitor the performance evaluation program.
  • Engage in short and long-term planning, prioritizes tasks, and adheres to schedules.
  • Develop direct reports and maintains current knowledge in the field.
To qualify as a Human Resources Business Partner you will:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • CHRP/SHRM certification considered an asset.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of HR Generalist, Manager, or Business Partner experience.
  • Experience in production, warehouse, or distribution industry preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Have previous experience working alongside H2A programs for multiple locations.
  • Speak fluent English and Spanish with a high level of professionalism.
  • Flexible and adaptable to shift assignments based on customer and business needs.
