Advantage Home Care is seeking a passionate and innovative Program Director to lead our Department of Mental Health Program. At Advantage Home Care, our mission is to empower individuals to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. The Program Director will play a vital role in advancing this mission by developing and implementing mental health programs that support the holistic well-being of our clients and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

1. Program Development and Implementation:

· Develop and execute a comprehensive home and community based mental health program tailored to the unique needs of our clients.

· Collaborate with the total care team including case managers, clinical staff, direct care staff, and external partners to integrate appropriate mental health support into existing care plans and services.

· Collaboration with executive management to grow services offered through our mental health program.

2. Client-Centered Care:

· Ensure that mental health services are client-centered, culturally sensitive, and aligned with individual’s preferences, values, and goals.

· Design and oversee initiatives focused on promoting mental wellness, preventing social isolation, and addressing psychosocial needs of clients within the home care setting.

3. Staff Training and Support:

· Manage agency staff responsible for the daily oversight of direct care staff and services rendered.

· Offer consultation and guidance to agency staff, including direct care staff on managing challenging behaviors, crisis intervention, and accessing mental health resources for clients in need.

4. Quality Assurance and Program Evaluation:

· Establish quality assurance measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services consistent with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

· Monitor program outcomes, client satisfaction, and caregiver feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of mental health interventions and identify areas for improvement.

· Utilize data and feedback to drive continuous program improvement, enhance service delivery, and optimize client outcomes.

5. Community Engagement and Partnerships:

· Cultivate partnerships with mental health providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups to expand access to mental health resources and support services for our clients.

· Represent Advantage Home Care in community forums, networking events, and collaborative initiatives focused on mental health awareness, education, and advocacy.

· Advocate for policies and practices that promote the integration of mental health care into home-based services and enhance the overall well-being of individuals aging in place.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in program development, management, or direct service delivery in the mental health field.

· Strong understanding of home care principles, geriatric psychology, and the psychosocial needs of individuals with disabilities and older adults.

· Knowledge of Department of Mental Health regulatory requirements, quality assurance standards, and best practices in mental health care delivery.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, clients, families, and community stakeholders.
