Our team is expanding, and we're looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our ranks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in our industry, combined with experience in sales or business development, and a knack for building lasting relationships.

Job Summary:
As a BDM, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward. Your main responsibilities will include developing new leads, creating compelling proposals, and negotiating contract terms. You will be the face of our company, presenting these proposals to potential clients and maintaining those relationships over time. Your insights and efforts will be pivotal in securing new projects and contributing to our growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the scrap, metal, and recycling sectors.
  • Proposal Creation: Craft detailed proposals that meet the specific needs of potential clients, showcasing our services and value proposition.
  • Presentation and Negotiation: Present proposals to clients with confidence and clarity, negotiating terms that benefit both parties and secure contracts.
  • Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the company at various industry events, including conferences, expos, and networking meetings. Participate in annual and quarterly meetings to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the scrap, metal, and recycling industry.
  • Demonstrated success in sales or business development roles.
  • Based in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh, with the ability to travel 50-75% of the time, mostly by car.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Bi-lingual capabilities are a plus, but not a necessity.
