 SCOPE:

As an Policy Cancellation Coordinator, you will play a crucial role within the Endorsement and Cancellation Unit of our Underwriting Department. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of cancellations and endorsements, responding to inquiries, and managing policy changes in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements. The E/C Underwriter Policy Cancellation Coordinator position is an ideal career path for individuals new to insurance which allows for transfer of knowledge and advancement level opportunities. This positions offers a remote work arrangement, allowing the ideal candidate work from their preferred location within the Southeast region.
 

DUTIES:

  • Ensure the efficient and accurate processing of policy cancellation and endorsements within established timeframes.
  • Review and validate cancellation requests to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for processing.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries related to cancellations and endorsements from both internal and external team members.
  • Analyze, and process cancellations in compliance with company processing guidelines and state statutory regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry best practices related to cancellation endorsements.
  • Proactively follow up on cancellation and endorsements and other miscellaneous policy changes to ensure completion within stipulated timeframes.
  • Collaborate with other relevant departments to address any issues related to policy changes.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on processed cancellations endorsements to ensure accuracy and error-free transactions.
  • Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in the process.
 

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Bilingual is a plus.
 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 6 months to 1-year proven experience in underwriting or a similar role within the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, regulations, and underwriting procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
