What the job is:
CPI is looking for someone who is positive, outgoing, upbeat and a natural leader. The ideal candidate will be quick to connect with others and able to establish and maintain working relationships with others while building rapport and cliental. The Energy Sales/Operations Manager Trainee will lead a team of established employees following safety guidelines, oversee training and consulting with the VP of Energy to develop programs and operational opportunities that support CPI’s mission and vision. This person will become proficient in the pricing of products, assisting in the promotion of sales, developing new markets, increasing market share and act as a liaison between Centex Lube Terminal Coops and the CPI Oil Warehouse. In addition, this person will oversee the creation and delivery of CPI Energy Price Sheets and Programs, develop, recommend and implement measures to improve customer satisfaction, equipment performance and the overall quality of CPI products and services. The Energy Sales/Operations Manager Trainee will learn all the required duties over a 2 to 3-year period of time while supervising and leading their team. CPI is a safety minded company thus such policies must be followed.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or 10 years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Past supervisory experience of a team is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must.
- Proficient knowledge of business computer skills including Microsoft Office, Accounting and Database entry software is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills is essential for this role.
- Strong Business acumen abilities such as time management, planning, decision-making and organization is a must for this role.
