New Brunswick Counseling center is looking for the part-time Administrative Behavioral Health Program Supervisor. 


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Member of the Management Team.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees the Accounting Billing department, assists with budget preparation, and audit functions. Works with the medical and clinical department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.

Essential Duties:

  1. Directs the preparation of shareholder reports and governmental agency reports.
  2. Compares services provided and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  3. Reviews the planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  4. Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
  5. Works with the Executive Director to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the Strategic Planning Process.
  6. Oversees the County, FFS State, DCF, Ryan White, and Women Set Aside contracts for the Agency.
  7. Grant Management: Completes grant applications, composes monthly and quarterly expenditure reports. Assists in the development of allocation plans, budgets, works in conjunction with a Certified Public Accountant to develop budget categories and account registers.
  8. Liaison: Acts as a liaison between funding sources (Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and Middlesex County Department of Human Resources).
  9. Supervises Administrative Staff.
  10. Track all inspections needed for the buildings, cars, and grounds of both facilities and schedule inspections in compliance with state regulations and safety measures.
    Participate in safety meetings.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Master’s Degree in social work, business management, or non-profit management is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive post-graduate experience, including 2 years in consultation and administration, is required. Practical experience in behavioral health services or a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Certifications: Certifications in non-profit and management are beneficial.
  • Skills: The ability to cooperate with people from all walks of life is important. The Program Manager will provide administrative/clinical supervision to the program staff to ensure all services are delivered according to local, state, and federal law and in compliance with contractual requirements.
