Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTax Management Associates (TMA) is looking for a highly motivated, professional, positive, team player, to join the Administrative Outsourcing team in Lawrenceville, Georgia in the role of Personal Property Account Manager. This is a full-time position working onsite with our local government client, the Gwinnett County Tax Assessor’s Office in the Personal Property Division.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Personal Property appraisal practices and techniques. Georgia Appraisal certification is not required but highly desired.

Candidate must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the ability to work both independently as well as within a collaborative environment, have strong oral and written communication skills, be detail oriented and can multi-task in a deadline driven environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assign values to business equipment/inventory, aircrafts, and boats in accordance with Georgia Code by processing annual returns and/or benchmarking.
  • Compile and maintain the annual personal property digest by identifying and cataloging new accounts through online research and/or on-site visits.
  • Process and defend appeals of valuation including attendance of Board of Equalization hearings.
  • Respond to taxpayer inquiries by email, telephone and in person, including answering questions, resolving complaints/issues, and correcting errors in valuation.
  • Required Travel: Minimal
