Candidate must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the ability to work both independently as well as within a collaborative environment, have strong oral and written communication skills, be detail oriented and can multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assign values to business equipment/inventory, aircrafts, and boats in accordance with Georgia Code by processing annual returns and/or benchmarking.
- Compile and maintain the annual personal property digest by identifying and cataloging new accounts through online research and/or on-site visits.
- Process and defend appeals of valuation including attendance of Board of Equalization hearings.
- Respond to taxpayer inquiries by email, telephone and in person, including answering questions, resolving complaints/issues, and correcting errors in valuation.
- Required Travel: Minimal
