Summary: Sales and Service Specialist is responsible for selling products and meeting customer needs while obtaining orders from existing or potential sales outlets. They ensure that the customer is satisfied and adequately taken care of while making a purchase.


Essential duties of Position:

  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
  • Visit establishments to evaluate needs or to promote product or service sales.
  • Maintain customer records, using automated systems
  • Gather customer or product information to determine customer needs
  • Communicate with people outside the organization, represent the organization to customers, the public, and other external sources
  • Negotiate prices or other sales terms and prepare sales or other contracts
  • Discuss design or technical features of products or services with technical personnel
  • Any other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • One to three years of verifiable related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services; including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
