The ideal candidate will be a college graduate or offer commensurate work experience. GovMobile is committed to hiring veterans but it is not a requirement. The role requires excellent business skills, good verbal and digital communication skills, responsiveness, thoroughness, and a commitment to excellence. The selected candidate will be expected to be a quick study to learn our business and our customer base, and then work independently and efficiently while executing your duties.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities within your assigned customer/agency base.
  • Generate leads, qualify opportunities, and maintain a forecast pipeline.
  • Engage with Vendors/Partners as needed to attain sales objectives.
  • Build, grow, and maintain a pipeline of business that will support the sales goals.
  • Manage and service existing accounts as assigned by Sales Manager
  • Work with the fulfillment and procurement teams to facilitate orders and maintain stewardship of all orders to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively learn the portfolio of IT hardware and software products and how to present customers with solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of sales activity including needs assessments, development, proposal preparation & delivery of quotes, presentation, negotiation, and post-sale services.
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers, teaming partners, vendors, suppliers, and other organizations as required.
  • Attend industry events and meet customers as needed.
  • Deliver timely, accurate sales forecasts and reports as outlined by Sales Manager.
  • Effectively utilize CRM to develop & organize accounts, track opportunities, and manage priorities.
  • Meet management objectives and achieve sales quota and profit expectations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent in work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Federal IT/VAR sales or a customer facing role.
  • Knowledge of the government procurement process and the FAR.
  • Experience working with vendors and partners to drive business.
  • Former military experience with tactical communications and TAK is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time-management, planning, and follow up skills, with critical attention to detail.
