Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummary:  Responsible for performing all operational and strategic activities focusing on improving productivity and quality of service. Oversees food preparation and appearance, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards. Ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience. Handles customer complaints, resolving issues diplomatically and courteously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent the required tasks, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The following responsibilities are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned:
  • Proficient in Point-of-Sale systems (POS), reservation, and table management apps.
  • Promotes teamwork, quality service, fun, and escapism.
  • Participate in management teams' daily stand-up.
  • Setting objectives, analyzing, leading, making decisions, and inspecting results.
  • Manage labor costs through payroll adjustments, planning, scheduling, and monitoring expenses.
  • Improve efficiency by reducing waste, improving cost savings, and improving profits.
  • Interview, hire, train, schedule, direct, manage, monitor, and evaluate staff and daily job performance.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate activities, programs, and food venues in the front of the house.
  • Handle customer complaints and compensate/make whole for a better experience where necessary.
  • Monitor restaurant activities through guest surveillance and proactive, preventative measures.
  • Create a weekly work schedule to ensure appropriate staffing levels for an optimum guest experience.
  • Conduct daily, by-shift team stand-up meetings to provide support, reinforce policies, and identify areas for continuous improvement in guest service.
  • Plan and coordinate activities and events related to fun and escapism for guests and employees.
  • Plan and schedule routine maintenance and service for the front of the house.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, health, and safety legislation.
  • Overseeing stock levels and ordering supplies.
Education/Experience:
Preferred business management or supply chain and operations management. A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years of related work experience are required.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee must also walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste or smell, and lift and move more than 50 pounds on occasion.
