Job DescriptionJob Description

Hanson International, located in St. Joseph, Michigan, specializes in the design, build, sample, and inspection of precision molds – primarily for the die cast industry. Hanson is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Quality Inspector position on our first shift.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up, program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect components for die cast tooling.
  • Set up, program and operate scanning arm to inspect components for die cast tooling.
  • Create detailed reports for customers
  • Work to models, and drawings to create programs to check dimensions and hold tolerances of finished work piece.
  • Verify finished work pieces to specifications using other precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years in the manufacturing industry.
  • PC-DMIS/ Polyworks (or other similar software) programming and operation preferred.
  • Operation of CMM machines, Scanning arms or any other measuring tools
  • Experience in quality and inspection.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
  • Journeyman mold maker or machinist certificate preferred.
  • Experience in die cast parts and processes preferred.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
