The ideal candidate has proven experience in managing, building and encouraging a team to achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets. As VP of Enterprise Sales for Definitive Healthcare, you will be leading highly visible, strategic efforts and building and expanding an Enterprise team focused on growing our existing business and acquiring new customers in the Provider Vertical.

What You'll Do

  • Create a high performing team, able to hit monthly and quarterly quotas
  • Act as a hands on leader for direct reports by participating in prospect and customer meetings
  • Ongoing mentoring and development of the sales team, includes recruiting, on-boarding and training new Sales Executives, Account Executives and Managers
  • Conduct weekly forecast meetings and key deal reviews
  • Coach direct reports on strategies to drive closure - both for new business prospects and customer expansion accounts
  • Utilize a metrics driven approach to manage the team and to build an effective process for forecasting and reporting
  • Identify ways to innovate our sales model, including product demonstrations, automation of manual tasks, and partnering with marketing & product teams
  • Build executive relationships with key customers and prospects
  • Work closely with your cross functional teams in scaling our go to market strategy (including marketing, product, sales development, customer success and professional services)
  • Manage the customer lifecycle engagement activities including pre-sales, sales and post sales customer engagement and growth

What You'll Need

  • Extensive experience in software and/or data solution sales
  • 5+ years of experience selling into the Provider Vertical
  • 5+ years of sales management experience (management of managers as well as 1st line management experience)
  • Strong experience in Top of Funnel activities including inbound lead conversion and outbound prospecting
  • Experience with full customer lifecycle management (Sales Development, Sales & Customer Relationship Management)
  • Consistent performance of overachievement
  • Passionate about training early career reps, and validated experience building a great working environment
  • Able to thrive in an agile growth environment - you move quickly, think strategically, and are strong at tactical execution
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with customer-facing and back-office teams
  • Excellent presentation, organization, and listening skills
