Cross Company is seeking a highly motivated, competitive individual to join our Automation Integration team as a Technical Sales Specialist. The TSS is responsible for all stages of the sales process- prospecting, application discovery, negotiations, and closing. The ideal candidate will possess some automation industry experience and a passion for developing new business opportunities Our Integration team delivers automated solutions for machine tending, gaging, palletizing, defect detection and inspection, and more.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Consultative selling - selling solutions not products

  • Develop and uncover opportunities for the next customer and project

  • Meet quarterly and annual sales targets as established by the Sales Manager

  • Collaborate with Proposal and Engineering teams to assist in development, design, and implementation of solutions that exceed customer expectations

  • Effectively communicate externally and internally with a variety of audiences

  • Maintain CRM to ensure accurate sales funnel tracking


Other Qualifications and Responsibilities:


  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Frequent automobile travel within the territory. Some overnight travel required.

  • Maintain updated knowledge of our competition and latest industry trends

Education and Experience:


  • 3 years’ consultative sales experience

  • College degree required

  • Engineering degree and/or manufacturing industry experience are preferred but not required.
