Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAnalyzer Technician1st Shift Temp to HireIs responsible for performing complex application engineering support functions to test and evaluate analyzers to ensure that customers’ specifications are met and that systems function properly and have long-term reliability. Specific Accountabilities:
  • Manufacturing testing of Process and Natural Gas GC’s. Ability to troubleshoot system issues of both an electrical and analytical nature. Responsible for testing hardware, understanding GC applications and the use of chromatography software.
  • Tests and evaluates analyzer applications by reviewing specifications for applications for accuracy, blending gases, repairing electronic and mechanical problems, programming and testing the controller attached to the system, and checking for valve problems.
  • Tests analyzers in the environmental chamber, modifies test fixtures to interface with the chamber, installs analyzers in the chamber, runs computer programs to test the analyzers, and furnishes data to Quality.
  • Ensures all documentation is assembled for the customer’s print package and is accurate, notifies of changes to specifications, provides input to shipping schedules, and logs problems and failures and reports to Quality.
  • Duties may be changed at any time and other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent required (GED)
  • Process GC manufacturing test experience required. Strong analytical, electronics, and mechanical background. Background in chemistry in reference to analytical applications.
  • Technical degree and/or 3-5 years experience in testing and understanding Process Gas GC applications.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exposed to fumes, gases, and chemicals.
