The Property Book Warehouse Specialist independently performs material handling functions in support of the Property Book Office. The specialist performs various warehouse duties in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) logistics procedures, standard operating procedures, and any local applicable regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Sort, store, and coordinate the issue of equipment to Property Book Office customers.
  • Coordinate the turn-in of equipment from Property Book Office customers.
  • Perform inspection of items to ensure quantity/items not damaged.
  • Turn in excess/unserviceable equipment to the Supply Support Activity.
  • Operate vehicles, hand and forklift trucks in the normal course of operations.
  • Completes other assigned tasks as required.

Job Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2+) years warehouse inventory, record filing and packaging duties.
  • Must possess a valid state Driver’s License and be able to obtain/maintain a forklift license.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:
  • Lift/carry/push/slide up to 50 pounds routinely, up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Bend, squat, stoop, crouch, balance, and lean.
  • Possess good motor skills and coordination.
  • Both manual and mechanized application of shrink wrap.
  • Re-palletize equipment.
  • Handle odd size equipment.
  • Sit for periods of time operating computer keyboard.
  • Repeat the same movements.
  • Subjected to both inside and outside environmental conditions.

  • Working with the Project Principals to fully coordinate all activities.
  • Effectively coordinate a number of projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.

  • Contributing to the successful completion of project initiatives.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Public Trust clearance for this position.
