Position Responsibilities
Spectra Tech is currently looking for a Warehouse Specialist to support our government client. This role will involve collaboration with various program staff and military personnel, requiring strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Receiving, unloading, storing, and processing incoming shipments using handcarts, forklifts, or other manual conveyances.
- Documenting receipt control numbers in an Excel spreadsheet and ensuring proper annotation on all receiving documents.
- Grouping items based on receiving vouchers and segregating materials according to specific criteria.
- Conducting material inspections and routing items to designated storage areas as per established procedures.
- Reporting any damaged conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Identifying non-expendable items for formal property accountability and recording essential information.
- Securing sensitive items according to established protocols.
- Coordinating shipments containing hazardous materials as necessary.
- Operating forklifts for loading and unloading tasks.
- Transporting materials and articles across various locations.
- Ensuring compliance with vehicle loading capacities and completing necessary documentation.
- Preparing items for shipment and managing waste disposal.
- Maintaining storage facilities and ensuring operational security.
- Delivering goods to clients based on established guidelines.
- Handling hazardous materials safely.
- Providing on-the-job training to fellow personnel.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to adhere to established standard operating procedures.
- Experience in handling hazardous materials.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and completing required training.
- Valid State Driver's license and ability to pass government driving training.
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs.
Clearance Requirements
Active SECRET CLEARANCE or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is mandatory. Candidates selected will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.
