Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to join their Albuquerque, New Mexico office. This role offers opportunities for civil design throughout New Mexico and the Southwest, focusing on site and land development. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with strong marketing skills. Our Client is dedicated to being client-focused and employee-centered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are illustrative and not intended to be exhaustive:

  • Assist in conceptual design.
  • Contribute to fee determination and proposal preparation.
  • Complete Project Setup Forms and review/fill out work authorizations.
  • Establish a QA/QC plan for each project.
  • Mentor younger engineers and support their career development.
  • Attend project meetings and represent Our Client during design and construction phases.
  • Follow up on the collection of account receivables.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten years of progressive civil engineering design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently for extended periods.
  • Strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to client services and a team-based approach.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering quality work products and excellent client services.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of clients, regulators, and authorities.
  • Proven marketing/business development skills.
  • PE license in the State of New Mexico or the ability to obtain one within three months.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience using AutoCAD/Civil3D to produce civil construction documents.
  • Strong knowledge of working with municipal, commercial, and other related site development projects.
