Work Performed:
The Sales & Catering Manager will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
· Solicit new and past sales and catering groups through prospecting.
· Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
· Respond to all sales inquiries, create detailed proposals, conduct site inspections, and execute contracts.
· Negotiate group guest room rates, meeting room rental, and food & beverage minimum.
· Complete, review, and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Coordinate the client's needs and activities to ensure customer's expectations are met, and the property operates efficiently.
· Communicate group details and changes to all hotel departments.
· Monitor guest room block and blocked event space.
· Greet and touch base with groups when in-house.
· Aspire to achieve sales goals including rooms, banquet, and ADR budget
System Experience

Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of previous catering sales experience in external sales; experience in upscale hotel operations is preferred
- Ability to effectively write business correspondences and set up contracts and function sheets
- Ability to professionally present promotional materials to prospective customers, and to effectively communicate and coordinate with operations and outside vendors
- Ability to forecast estimated revenue for private dining and catering contracts
- Ability to communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information
- Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic
Benefits
Our company provides a 401(k) plan through American Funds with a maximum 4% match. This includes a 3% dollar-for-dollar match, and an additional 50% match on the next 2%. You are eligible for the 401(k) plan during open enrollment periods, which happen twice a year, after earning $5,000 in the six months prior to the next enrollment period. Additionally, we offer a $50,000 life insurance benefit for every full-time employee, fully paid for by the company after 90 days of employment. The company also provides long-term disability coverage. After 90 days of employment, you become eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Furthermore, you are entitled to Marriott travel discounts on rooms. Please note that company policies may change over time.
