The Challenge:
Exp Federal is accepting applications for exciting career opportunities overseas in conjunction with a contract supporting the U.S. Department of State. This Position is on site in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Principle Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for developing inspection criteria, electrical designs
- Performing technical reviews of electrical designs developed by architectural-engineering firms (A-E) or government organizations and resolving electrical design related problems arising during construction and inspection by the inspection team.
- Provide expertise on the electrical engineering aspects of the installation; modification; operation
- Maintenance of facilities, mission systems, support systems, and power generation/distribution/grounding systems.
- While there is not a design element in this contract, the Electrical Engineer shall serve as subject matter expert to review, and inspect electrical installations to ensure code compliance for new construction that is in progress or completed. However, there will be a need, from time to time, to prepare drawings, specifications, and procedures for the repair, installation, integration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Prepare and/or reviews and evaluates design calculations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in engineering from an accredited American university or Professional Engineering License
- 7+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry
- Active Security Clearance from the US Federal Government. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
