Job Summary
Premier Safety is seeking a Warehouse Logistics & VMI Coordinator to manage inventory at customers' designated sites and oversee the storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise within our Pittsburgh, PA, branch. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate inventory management, timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. Premier Safety is an industry leader in the sales, leasing, and service of head-to-toe personal protection equipment (PPE), technical safety products, and facility management solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product barcode.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to technicians.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing stations or the shipping department.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed and maintain inventory records.
  • Drive company commercial vehicles to transport and deliver goods to designated locations safely and in compliance with all State and Federal DOT standards and regulations.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing and shipping.
  • Assist with VMI customer space/placement, set up the appropriate area to receive shipments of material, and stock products in the customer's designated area.
  • Perform VMI functions at vending point-of-use areas: loading, receiving, and minor repairs or changes, including mandatory communication with the direct supervisor and the sales team.
  • Maintain awareness of min/max, reorder point/quantity, and report observations back to management.
  • Assist in the inventory (cycle) counts and control and reconcile internal credit card/purchasing for incremental purchases for all departments at the corporate location.
  • Present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and managers.
  • Maintain 5S in all VMI Point of Use areas.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
  • Ability to use hands for handling, feeling, and reaching objects, with the capacity for frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting.
  • Ability to work safely in environments with exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, high places, and airborne particles, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Minimum one (1) year related experience.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred skills/knowledge should include ERP and CRM Systems.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license required as access to Company vehicles is provided at times.
