We are passionate about helping our customers reach their full business potential, and the Sales Development Manager role is a vital part of this exciting initiative.

 

Reporting to the Sales Development Manager, this SDR will be responsible for researching, nurturing and proactively managing inbound and outbound leads coming from various leads sources, helping to best ready the Account Executive team to continue the sales journey to a winning close. 

 

The SDR will have the following responsibilities, requirements and expertise:

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop opportunities from inbound marketing-generated leads as well as outbound prospecting with respect to specific sales plays, verticals, or solution strategies
  • Drive top-of-funnel lead generation opportunities to Account Executives
  • Research accounts, identify and engage key decision makers to generate interest and new opportunities for the sales team
  • Track all relevant qualification and lead management activities using Salesforce.com
  • Consistently achieve qualified opportunity quotas to ensure territory revenue objectives
  • Leverage lead intelligence tools and data to help prioritize daily sales development strategies
  • Develop communication strategies to target prospect with convincing, creative and clear messaging using internal sales outreach tools

Requirements. Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to work in the Durham, North Carolina office 3 days a week
  • Self-starter able to drive towards goals
  • Strong capacity to develop rapport quickly over the phone or chat
  • Very strong written communication skills including email content creation
  • Very strong verbal communication and conversation skills
  • Strong closing skills, with focus on securing a meeting or next step
  • Strong time management skills, and team orientation
  • Some knowledge of applications used for account prospecting included but not limited to Zoominfo, Sales Navigator, Groove, CRM is preferred
  • Ability to work across the organization, with Sales, Marketing and Product
  • Invested in building strong networks
  • Curious mindset
  • Desire to pursue a future career in sales or customer success management
