Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer and Vendor Interaction: Interact effectively with internal/external customers, vendors, 3rd party truck drivers, and railway operators to coordinate receiving processes. Communicate with the corporate buyer, other locations, account coordinators, and sales personnel to facilitate smooth transfers and order management.
  • System Navigation and Documentation: Proficiently navigates Bistrack software to manage and track inventory, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date. Properly label and stage all inbound materials, following company protocols to ensure efficient processing and storage.
  • Process Improvement and Problem-Solving: Continuously look for ways to improve the receiving process, suggesting and implementing enhancements to increase efficiency. Inspect received products thoroughly to ensure they are correct and undamaged, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
  • Product Staging and Inventory Management: Navigate vendor labels and receivers accurately for the correct placement of stock and special orders. Stage products for production, ensuring materials are organized and accessible for smooth workflow.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Perform basic housekeeping tasks in the shop to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Adhere to safety protocols, particularly when working with heavy materials and in inclement weather conditions.
  • Other Responsibilities: Execute additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to task management.
Requirements:

Qualifications:Required:

  • Forklift Certification: Must be forklift certified or willing to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs consistently throughout the day, with the stamina to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
  • Weather Adaptability: Able to work effectively in various weather conditions, maintaining productivity and safety.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office applications to support administrative tasks.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills, with an approachable demeanor and respect for others.
  • Versatility and Motivation: Willing to be versatile, self-motivated, and team-oriented, adapting to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: Able to consistently show up on time and complete daily tasks by their deadlines.
