Director Business Administration Summary


We are seeking an experienced strategic Director of Business Administration to lead our account administration team. This impactful role will lead a group of over 40 team members through business transformation and modernization. The role will report directly to the company CFO and own the Administration team execution across several critical customer & operational aspects. The incoming Director will be expected to drive alignment, continuous improvements, maximize efficiency, process excellence, and support accountability.

Lead in a manner that promotes inclusion and teamwork within the team and across the organization. Support tactical standard operating procedures (SOP) and processes that ensures customer data accuracy, including billing, item set-up, supplier invoices, and customer service. Drive metrics that will impact customer expectations and overall team success.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner
  • Build trusted relationships within and across teams. Lead through Envita purpose and values to support overall company culture
  • Oversee day-day operations for Account Administration team
  • Collaborate across other functional teams regarding business processes including but not limited to billing, operations, accounting/finance
  • Partner with finance & operations to drive quality & timely margin reviews
  • Align with executive leadership on the execution of business transformation, strategic initiatives and Envita acceleration vision
  • Partner with People & Culture team for recruiting, onboarding, performance management and HR initiatives being rolled out
  • Develop or maintain SOPs for the administration teams and ensure adherence of processes and drive accountability
  • Analyze company metrics and lead team for success that supports continuous improvement; identify and implement improvement as needed
  • Develop and oversee scheduled audits of data setup and transactions to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Manage progress and productivity expectations for invoice team (supplier PO tracking, customer aging, customer invoicing)
  • Support and empower AA managers to set expectations, identify resource levels to align allocation needs (i.e. to support new customer implementations, special projects)
  • Collaborate often with operational directors to assure goals are aligned that support customer experience
  • Review and approve expenses appropriately

What You Will Need To Succeed

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years management / leadership experience
  • Minimum ten years of business administration or related field of proven work experience required. Experience in waste management industry beneficial.
  • Experience in leading larger teams (~30+) required
  • Experience in leading through business transformation highly beneficial
  • Ability to lead through change management
  • Experience in business transformation and system modernization implementation beneficial
  • Experience managing business systems that drive productivity
  • Strong business acumen and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to engage at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to drive KPI metrics for operational excellence
  • Ability to manage a remote/hybrid workforce, while promoting engagement and culture of an organization
  • Proven leadership and team building skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma beneficial
  • Highly experienced in Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills
  • Financial mindset and comfortable managing by SOP's
  • Ability to support hyper growth at scale and identify synergies
