We are seeking a motivated and skilled Business Development Manager to join our client’s team, a leader in global supply chain solutions. Specializing in transportation and logistics, the company offers services including domestic and international air and ground transportation, ocean freight, comprehensive documentation, and truckload brokerage. This position is ideally based near Miami, FL, to facilitate easy access to our regional distribution channels and key clients.

Job Summary: The Business Development Manager will spearhead initiatives to develop new business areas in ocean and airfreight services both domestically and internationally. This role is critical in analyzing customer needs, providing comprehensive transportation solutions, and achieving ambitious revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth in domestic and international freight services.
  • Develop tailored logistics solutions that uphold our commitment to service excellence.
  • Sustain and expand business volumes while actively seeking new opportunities in the assigned territory.
  • Market our comprehensive suite of transportation and warehousing solutions effectively.
  • Conduct strategic sales calls and maintain robust relationships with existing clients.
  • Generate new business through proactive outreach such as cold calling and follow-ups.
  • Lead in the preparation of RFPs and SOPs to streamline customer engagement processes.
  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations and participate in key pricing negotiations.
  • Engage in and contribute to sales meetings and client entertainment as required.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in sales or business development, specifically within the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of building lasting client relationships.
  • A proven track record of sales success and an existing network within the industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Essential knowledge of freight forwarding; international experience is a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in planning and organizing with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong networking capabilities with active participation in industry-related organizations.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
