The Rambler Motel is looking to immediately hire a qualified, enthusiastic, part-time Barista & Food Preparer. We are looking for world-class employees who go the extra mile and create the atmosphere that keeps our guests coming back time and time again.
Qualifications:
- Experience in retail / specialty store / coffee shop or other food establishment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Server Permit a plus
- Experience with Toast POS a Plus
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Register and cash handling experience
- Flexible schedule availability
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance
- Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Example of Duties (this is a sampling and not an all-inclusive list):
- Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
- Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
- Delivers superior customer service to all customers by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the customer.
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace
- Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products such as sandwiches and hot food consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Maintains proper safety procedures with staff to avoid work-related injuries or customer injuries
- Assists with customer issues/complaints to resolve them amicably
- Performs other reasonable duties in accordance with Management
Physical Demands:
• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and listen.
• Frequently required to use hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands/arms
• Regularly required to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
• Vision requirements: Close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust and focus.
• Regularly required to handle food and hot beverages.
Pay rate: $16.00 per hour plus participation in the barista tip pool.
