Pattillo, Brown & Hill, LLP is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Operations team in our Controllers office

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering financial data into our systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial records. PBH is looking for a candidate who possesses a client forward mindset and positive attitude with the ability to do monthly financial reporting including bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance in QuickBooks.

This role has a strong emphasis on soft skills, including organizational skills, attention to detail, reliability, clear communication, adaptability, and effective time management.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Accurately input financial data into our accounting software or spreadsheets.
  • Administer and maintain all CPE course files for the firm and certificates for Partners/ Employees.
  • Identify and correct errors in data entry to ensure data integrity.
  • Organize and maintain financial records in a systematic manner.
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks such as reconciling statements and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Operations team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Assists with new hire onboarding and acquisition of potential employees using job platforms to gather data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • High level of integrity and respect for confidentiality in handling financial information.
  • Proficiency in data entry and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively including meeting deadlines.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and ability to perform basic calculations.
  • Proficiency in using software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies.
Preferred Qualifications:


  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Bachelors preferred.
  • Prior experience in data entry or accounting roles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific accounting principles and regulations.
