Are you ready to take the driver's seat and power up some serious machinery? Williams Civil Construction is hiring Operators to be part of our action-packed worksites including utilities and site development. We're looking for skilled individuals who can safely and efficiently operate a variety of equipment such as: blades, dozers, loaders, excavators, haul trucks, water trucks, etc.


What You’ll Do:

  • Safety is our top priority, and as a Heavy Equipment Operator, you'll be responsible for keeping a keen eye for hazards to keep yourself and the team out of harm's way
  • Operate a diverse range of heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, blades, haul trucks, water trucks, and dozers, for everything from precise excavation to smooth paving prep
  • Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging
  • Every day presents new challenges, but you'll tackle them head-on - whether it's troubleshooting equipment issues or adapting to changing site conditions, your ability to think on your feet will be invaluable
  • Keep time and material records
  • Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations


What You Bring:

  • Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards, aggregate sizes and classifications, and weight requirements of loads leaving the pit
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write short correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions
