We are currently seeking to add a Project Hydrogeologist to our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington.

$95,000 to $125,000 annually, in-office, 30 % of time in field, with benefits

The successful candidate will work on a variety of technical projects and environmental programs for clients in our public, private, and industrial sectors. This role will involve supporting PBS's multi-disciplinary environmental compliance and due diligence assessments that require working knowledge of state and federal regulations. QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, geoscience, or environmental engineering required.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in environmental consulting with focus on assessment, investigation and remediation projects.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate (current 8-hour annual refresher course certification).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills allowing for positive internal, client, and contractor relationships.
  • Knowledge of Washington State and Federal environmental regulations (MTCA, RCRA, etc.) preferred.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record

Desirable Qualifications

  • Licensed Hydrogeologist or ability to obtain within 2 years.
  • Proven well-developed technical writing skill for delivery of project reports.
  • Ability to work with team members in a collaborative and communicative effort. Shows ability to listen and seeks to understand viewpoints of others.
  • Self-motivated to plan and set appropriate priorities and effectively manage their time. Considers their actions and decisions that will support the success of their team.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Management of environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects includes client-facing communication, project coordination, workflow schedules, subcontractor management, and budget management.
  • Perform a variety of field work including environmental site assessments, environmental investigations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, groundwater and stormwater sampling, underground storage tank assessment, and subcontractor oversight.
  • Assist with preparation of site characterization work plans and reports in support of environmental assessment, hydrogeologic, and remediation projects.
  • Prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments per ASTM E1527.
  • Interpret geological, hydrogeological and chemical data.
  • Travel to project sites within Puget Sound area and Washington state is required.
  • Represent PBS in a safe and professional manner both internally and externally.
